La MaMa Galleria is pleased to announce Bhoomi Sharma, Julia Olney, Maxine Naleway, Simone Handelman Duffy, Kiara Renteria, and Nicole Del Valle Diaz in Wild Archives—Material Metamorphosis, a presentation of multimedia installations by the artists opening on April 29, 2025. The works in the show aim to question established barriers between organic and artificial, archive and innovation, heritage and imagination. Curated by Aurelia Erpf, Wild Archives brings together six emerging artists whose works traverse the multifaceted connections between bodies, archives, technology, and natural systems. Through diverse mediums including bio-art, printmaking, video installation, cross-cultural analysis, and archival activation, the artists deal with themes of autonomy and power while revealing how we interpret and transform cultural and natural matter.
Presented by the BFA Design History and Practice program in the School of Art and Design History and Theory at Parsons and The New School.
